Whether you play golf or just want to be part of a great event, plan to be there:

Golf starts at 1 PM (registration from 11:30 on)…only $79 and you get golf, cart, hat, 2 balls, tees, some snacks, dinner and free beer and soda in the clubhouse. Can you beat that?

And, if you’re not a golfer, come for the fun afterwards…A delicious meal with great people and the excitement of our auction…Lots of fun and only $25 per person. Dinner starts at 6 PM.

This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we need your help any way you can give it to us….Sell raffle tickets…sell or buy a hole sponsorship at only $150 a hole…contribute something valuable for our silent auction or for our raffle prizes or for our BIG AUCTION. This is always a lot of fun and can raise lots of money for us.

When approaching other people for a donation, no matter where you live, remember this is for a charity…YOUR CHARITY.

In the past, we’ve raffled or auctioned off items such as trips to Jamaica or to California or to Florida cruises. We’ve always got restaurant/hotel packages and, remember, we are a 501 (c)3 non-profit association and our IRS number is 39-1663350.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

How about putting your name or a friends name, no matter where you live, in the picture below...Or, how about you and a bunch of your friends buying one sign...Or, taking it one step further, how about creating a FAMILY' sign where your whole family appears on the sign. A sign can take up to 8 names. For more than 8 names a sign would cost only $250.

Quite impressive! And you don't have to live in Wisconsin as this is for charity and, after all expenses, the balance will go towards research being done at the U of Wisconsin or for the Dr Jim Auberle scholarship fund.

Our symposium and Red Vest Golf Open just got better and, hopefully, will provide you with ways to cut down on some of the costs of attending either or both.  It's exciting.

GIVE BACK CONTEST

Last year our "10-10-10" contest was a great success and we would like to repeat parts of it again. Ready? We hope so.

Donations of physical prizes such as a combination golf course/hotel stay that could be used for an auction prize, or a 3 day hotel stay plus dinners or a cruise - all can be used as means to be involved in our GIVE BACK contest. To determine their value provider must provide proof of value. Let your imagination do its work.

We want as many of you as possible to attend one or the other or both and have come up with the following incentives.  Hopefully, you'll get involved and participate in our GIVE BACK CONTEST.  Here's how it works:

1. For each 10 books of raffle tickets sold and/or a $50 money donation your name will be entered into our RED VEST GIVEAWAY lottery.  If, for instance, you donate $150 (for example, as a hole sponsor for $150) you would get 3 chances in the lottery.  In other words, for each $50 donation your name gets into the lottery.  The prize, IF YOU WIN, would be one free night at either the 2007 symposium or the 2008 golf open, hotel to be determined by the event.  If your name is picked 2 times, you would get 2 free nights or, if it's 3 times, 3 free nights.  45 books sold or $499 is the maximum for the lottery.
2. 100 books sold or $500 money donation would give you ONE FREE NIGHT at either event.
3. 1,000 books sold or $5,000 money donation would give you 3 FREE NIGHTS PLUS $500 airfare toward either event.
4. 2,000 books sold or $10,000 money donation would give you 5 FREE NIGHTS PLUS 2 paid registrations PLUS $1,000 towards airfare at either event.

We also would like donations of auction items, especially sports memorabilia pertaining to Wisconsin sports, and they would have to be authenticated.  Other than auction items, other items wanted would be things such as a free cruise, funjet type of trip, a 3 night stay at a hotel in your area with free golf for 2 days at a nearby course, gift certificates to national chains such as Applebee's or Starbucks, etc.

1. Provider of donations must provide proof of their value subject to the discretion of the Golf Open Organizers.
2. Claimants must be specified. Only one claimant per prize.
3. Deadline is June 9th, 2008.
4. No substitutions and good only for 2008 Symposium or 2009 Golf Outing.
5. Not wanted would be flea market items, rummage items, handmade items or artwork except if approved by the organizers of the tournament.

RAFFLE TICKETS

• Our number one prize is a GPS (global positioning system) Mio C320 - value of $250 plus $250 cash.
• Our number 2 prize is an Apple iPod Nano 4GB Silver, value of $150, capable of storing 2,000 songs, plus $150 cash.
• Our number 3 prize is $100.

All great prizes - Sell them to your barber, hairdresser, insurance salesperson, doctor, RELATIVES, people up and down the street. There are so many people out there that could help us.

HOLE SPONSORS
Only $150 and they don't have to be only from Wisconsin. You can sell them anywhere you live. It's for our cause. People will help.....if you ask them.

IMAGINATION
As we said, if you let your imagination take over, there's all sorts of possibilities and one thing we're looking for are coupons from national chains such as free food coupons from Safeway, or Applebee's or McDonalds or Wendy's or the many chains that exist. All of these can and will go into the auction packages we present.
