VIDEO NEWS RELEASE: We've just produced an exciting, new tool to increase public awareness about ST. We are now distributing a Video News Release (VNR) to television stations around the country to help reporters and editors understand what ST is all about and to spread the word that there is plenty of help and hope available to those who have it.   • WRTV - Indianapolis ran a story on ST on 4/20/04.
    WFIE-TV in Evansville, IN ran a story in their evening news, which ran Friday, March 19, 2004, and re-ran on Monday, March 22. Click here to read it.
    WBAY-TV Green Bay health reporter Kevin Rompa produced a "2 Your Health" feature about ST and the use of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery on a Green Bay woman. The story aired on the station's 5 p.m. news on October 30.
    WREX-TV, Rockford, IL interviewed Howard Thiel and Dr. Diane Sierens of the Rockford Health System for a story about ST and the use of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery.

    Howard's appearance on WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee:
    ST/ Dystonia , Inc. Executive Director Howard Thiel describes Spasmodic Torticollis during an interview with WTMJ-TV news anchor Vivian King on the Channel 4 11 a.m. newscast in Milwaukee on October 1. The segment, which included still photos and video of several ST patients like Monica Archer, was seen by approximately 250,000 viewers in that time period. Thiel also had the opportunity to inform viewers about the October 3-5 ST symposium in Milwaukee . WTMJ listed the ST helpline phone number and posted a link to the ST web site on the station's "4 Your Health" web page.

  • ST Featured on Fox 6 Noon News Medical Segment
    ST/Dystonia, Inc. Executive Director Howard Thiel is prepped before making an interview appearance on the Fox 6 News At Noon on WITI-TV6 Milwaukee. Thiel was interviewed by news anchor Joanne Williams live from the Fox 6 studios to inform viewers about ST and the national symposium in Milwaukee.

    ST/Dystonia, Inc. executive director Howard Thiel and Sondra Davis of Massillon, Ohio appear on "Ponder The Issues" program on WIVM-TV Canton, Ohio with host Ron Ponder. The half-hour public affairs show aired in August 2003.
